Zoie Nott

Zoie completed her Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours Class I) at the University of Queensland in 2012 and worked primarily in cognitive neuroscience research for 10 years. She completed her Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Queensland in early 2023. Zoie is now a qualified psychologist (clinical psychology registrar) working in her own private practice, ‘Hands and Mind’. She is based in two locations; CCC Psychology, Burpengary East and The Greenhouse West Village, West End.
Zoie has experience working with a variety of clinical presentations across the lifespan, however her current clinical focus is with child, young people and their families. She is grounded, relatable, approachable, and non-judgmental. Zoie’s practice centres on creating a safe and secure space where her clients feel valued and supported. Her therapeutic approach uses evidenced based techniques that are tailored to her client’s experiences and preferences.
Zoie is passionate about supporting access to mental health services for members of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Communities. She completed the Diploma of Auslan (Australian Sign Language) in early 2023 and aspires to continue her training to be a NAATI certified Auslan interpreter. Although Zoie is hearing, she considers herself a strong Deaf ally and has a good understanding of Deaf culture. Zoie uses professional interpreters with clients who prefer signing to spoken English.
